The River Wyre

My midweek visit to the River Wyre restaurant was very enjoyable. The staff were attentive and helpful. There was a real fire burning and my favourite cocktail was made to perfection. My slow cooked belly pork was delicious.

Table was ready as soon as we arrived even though it was extremely busy. The food was excellent and the staff polite and respectful we had a great Sunday meal and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely be returning.

The staff couldn&#39;t have done more to make my husband &#39;s birthday meal special. They even sang happy birthday! ❤️

First time we have been as a family for a long time. I think they must have had staffing problems as the service was poor with long wait times and forgotten orders. The food was good although could have been served hotter (mashed potato was almost cold). In fairness the manager recognised the issues and gave us a discount. I&#39;d like to say we&#39;ll give them another chance but with so many other good eating establishments around the corner it&#39;s a tough decision.
